Lùth Engineering, Mobility and Sustainable Logistics, Lùth-e®, is a consultancy and technical advisory company specialized in the transport sector. The company operates in the areas of Energy and the Environment, Sustainable Logistics and Public Transport Management. Lùth-e is the product of knowledge accumulated from multiple experiences in research institutes and multinationals. The company has a multidisciplinary team of masters and doctors from renowned academic institutions such as the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Institute of Military Engineering (IME) and Federal University of Ceará (UFC)
Inspiration for our name
Scotland, host of COP 26, has almost 100% of its gross electricity consumption from renewable sources. In Scottish Gaelic, Lùth refers to Energy and, in our view, Transport is Energy. Despite this, we observe in contemporary research a dissociation between the concepts, restricting transport planning to the movement of people and loads, ignoring the impact on energy use and the resulting emissions. Coming from academia, we believe that it is possible to transform mobility by changing the way of thinking of managers and society, prospecting a sustainable energy-climate future
